“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
Today is new and fresh. You are rejuvenated from your sleep cycle, and prepared for a new day. Unlike every other day, today is different. You feel motivated, everything seems so brand new; life is waiting for you!
Forget the past. Moving forward is the catalyst of a successful journey. Release yourself from the "what ifs" the "maybes" or "I shouldas." The time is now. You will forever enrich your life if you release yourself from the past. Finding fitness is the life long journey and
pursuit of creating the best version of yourself, by first targeting what the best YOU is.
Yesterday we touched upon the power of what others think of us. Today I challenge you to identify your true inner feelings of yourself. What has happened to you in life, your accomplishments, your failures, the challenges you face, the obstacles you have overcome. These are part of what has made you, you.
Today is no ordinary day though, and you are not the same person you were the day before. Today you forget what you thought you knew, and begin moving towards your life of Finding Fitness. This is where you leave the past behind and you sprint all out towards the you, you want to become.
I want you to first set a short term goal of one month. Next, I want you to choose a long term goal, something that you want to accomplish in a one year time frame. This is where change happens. Make your goal something specific to you. These can be as simple as "lose 5 pounds" "gain 5 pounds of muscle" "run a marathon" "get six pack abs." The more specific the goal, the greater opportunity you have, of identifying your success.
With goals you have a target. With a target you have an objective. Objectives can only be reached by pursuit; MOVING FORWARD. We all have a different starting point. Do not get hung up on the challenges that occur each day, they will only make you stronger. Never dwell on what you could have done the day before, because you are fortunate enough to have a new day ahead of you. It does not matter where you start, it is only your invincible dedication that dictates where you go.
Start becoming the best version of yourself!
